Call Up the Alert Monitor
You can call up the
Alert
Monitor in the DS planning board.
By doing this, you can display scheduling problems;
for example, a resource overload. The following table summarizes for which objects
the system creates alerts.
Objects for which the system creates alerts in the DS planning board

DS planning board |
The system creates alerts for the following: |
|
· The resources and products in the propagation range · The resources that are defined in the various views in the work area · The products and orders that you entered in the work area |
|
|
· The order you are currently processing · The resources and products for the order |
|
|
· The resources and products that are displayed in the product planning table · The orders for these products · The orders that are processed at these resources |

· You can also display particular scheduling problems directly in the planning board by customizing the graphical objects accordingly: You can, for example, specify that delayed orders are displayed graphically in a different way to orders that are on time. For more information, see Detailed Scheduling Planning Board (DS Planning Board).
· In the planning board, you can highlight graphical objects that are affected by alerts depending on the alert type; that is, depending on whether there is an error, a warning or information for this object.
You have defined a
PP/DS alert
profile for the Alert Monitor
using the alert types that are relevant for your scheduling with the DS
planning board and are entered in the following places:
· For the DS planning board that is called up directly, you specify the PP/DS alert profile in the initial screen of the DS planning board or in the overall profile. If you do not specify an alert profile, all alerts are displayed.
· If you want to call up the DS planning board in the order view or in the product planning table, you enter the PP/DS alert profile in Customizing for the order view or the product planning table.
To call up the Alert Monitor, choose Extras → Alert Monitor.
