Process Flow in Deployment Deployment determines which demands the existing supply can fulfill by taking the following into consideration:
Demand data of the following orders:
Planned replenishment orders
Unpublished TLB shipments
Master data configuration of the orders
SAP Advanced Planning and Optimization (SAP APO) Available-To-Deploy (ATD) quantities for the ship-from locations with data from SAP APO liveCache
SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) deployment priorities
If the demand data cannot be fulfilled, deployment modifies the data to create new planned replenishment orders.
For information about setting up deployment, see Settings for Deployment .
The process is as follows:
The SAP SNC deployment service calculates the demands for each product based on the demand data from the planned replenishment orders and unpublished TLB shipments.
The SAP SNC deployment service deletes the orders from the database.
Note
The system deletes the orders because it does not know which demands can be fulfilled before calling SAP APO.
The system calls SAP APO deployment and based on the calculated data from step 1, SAP APO deployment distributes the ATD quantities from the ship-from locations to the customer location.
The SAP SNC deployment service uses the output from step 3 to try and reconstruct the original orders that were deleted in step 2. This is based on the SAP SNC deployment split priorities. The results are new planned replenishment orders.
