Use

Once you have created your model diagram (using the Compose Model task panel) and you have connected the elements, you need to configure the attributes of each item. You do this using the Configure Element task panel in conjunction with the model diagram on the Design board.

Prerequisites

You have composed part or all of your model, as described in Compose the Model.

Procedure

...

...

       1.      On the Design board, start at the level of your iView, meaning that the icon is closed (you have not drilled down into it).

       2.      Select the iView icon and click the Configure button in the task-panel toolbar. The list of attributes for the selected iView are displayed in the Configure Element task panel.

       3.      Review the attributes of the component and edit them as necessary.

       4.      When you have finished configuring the iView, right-click the icon and choose Drill Down from the context menu (or double-click on the icon). The contents of the iView are displayed.

       5.      Click on each model element and connecting line to configure the items, and to map fields between model components.

Full descriptions of each attribute that can be configured are provided in the Configure Element Task Panel section of the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer Reference Guide.

Result

All the model elements have been configured and mapped as needed. You can now continue to configure the fields and controls within each UI component, using the Control Properties dialog box. Generally, you should do this on the Layout board. For details about configuring fields and properties, see Control Properties Dialog Box in the SAP NetWeaver Visual Composer Reference Guide.
