Rounding of Gross and Net Delivery Quantity By default, the system rounds the net delivery quantity and the gross delivery quantity automatically, and displays the rounded values in the Delivery Control Monitor (DCM). The system uses the rounding value from the location product master.
You, as customer, have entered a rounding value on the
Lot Size
tab page in the customer location product master in the SAP SNC system. If you procure your product from various suppliers (multisourcing) and you want to use a different rounding value for a certain supplier, you must create a supplier-specific location product master with the required rounding value on the Web UI of SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC).
Note
If a supplier-specific location product master exists for a product, the data from the supplier-specific location product master has precedence over the data from the location product master in the SAP SNC system.
Rounding is performed by the implementation of the BAdI /SCF/ICH_DCM_IM_ROUND of the BAdI /SCF/ICH_DCM_ROUND, which is active in the standard system. If you want to use your own rounding logic, you must create and activate your own BAdI implementation.
The system rounds the gross and net delivery quantities to a whole multiple of the rounding value that does not exceed the maximum stock level.
Example
If the rounding value is 1000 and the quantity required to reach the maximum stock level is 2300, the system proposes 2000 as the gross delivery quantity.
In the DCM, the system displays both the number of rounding units (gross) and the number of rounding units (net). The net delivery quantity is the product from the number of rounding units (gross) multiplied by the rounding quantity. The same is true for the number of rounding units (net).
Example
If the rounding value is 1000 and the quantity required to reach the maximum stock level is 2300, the system proposes 2000 as the net delivery quantity. The number of rounding units (net) is 2.
