Configuring Welcome Pages, Error Pages, MIME Types, and Response Status Codes 

Use

You can add, remove, or edit a particular entry in the lists of welcome pages, error pages, MIME types and response status codes mappings.

Procedure

Welcome Pages

...

       1.      To configure welcome pages, choose the Mappings tab → Page Mappings → Welcome Pages tab.

       2.      To add a new page to the welcome pages list, choose Add.

       3.      Enter the file name of the page in the Name column.

Error Pages

...

       1.      To configure error pages, choose the Mappings tab → Page Mappings  → Error Pages tab.

       2.      To add a new error page to the list, choose Add.

       3.      Enter the location of the error page (relative to the Web module’s root) in Location.

       4.      Choose the error condition type the error page must respond to from the Type dropdown list box.

       5.      Enter the error code, or the exception class, you map the error page to in Value.

MIME Types

...

       1.      To configure MIME types, choose the Mappings tab → MIME Mappings.

       2.      To add a new entry to the MIME Mappings List, choose Add.

       3.      Specify the file extension you are mapping, and the corresponding MIME type in the Extensionand MIME Type fields, respectively.

Response Status Codes

...

       1.      To define a new response status code, choose the Mappings tab → Response Codes Mappings.

       2.      To add a new entry to the Response Codes List, choose Add.

       3.      Enter the response code number in Code, and the message that describes the condition this code denotes in Description.
