Security
The Security Provider Service enables you to manage the security policy, the users, the authentication and authorization mechanisms on the system, and to restrict access to the resources or the applications deployed on the J2EE Engine.
The Security monitoring group contains one important monitoring group – Aggregated Data – that contains the following monitor that is activated by default:
ActiveSessionsCount
Description |
The number of all active sessions. |
Description of possible problems and their impact |
Too many active sessions mean that there is high user load on the server. |
Boundary conditions for the metric (thresholds)
|
We recommend you set the following: GY 200 YR 2,147,483,646 RY 2,147,483,646 YG 200 |
Recommended procedure if a problem occurs |
The only way to minimize the user load is to add additional instances and hardware. This monitor can show the reason for the high memory and CPU consumption. Watching this monitor is essential when analyzing performance problems. If the active security sessions are more than the active Web sessions, it means that the load is not coming from the Web requests. |
