You want to assign attributes to your solution.

Prerequisites

You have:

  • Created a solution

  • Set up SAPconnect to send e-mails   : IMG   SAP Solution Manager   Scenario-Specific Settings   Set Up SAPconnect  .

Procedure

  1. Choose transaction SOLUTION_MANAGER.

  2. Choose the Solution Landscape tab in the Operations Setup.

    You can alternatively choose the Solution Landscape button on the left-hand side of the screen.

  3. Choose Solution Settings.

    You go to the Solution Directory.

  4. Select your solution.

  5. On the Solution Settings tab, specify the following settings for your solution:

    • Solution ID and language

      You can control authorization for solutions with the solution ID (authorization object: D_SOL_VSBL).

    • Monitoring graphic refresh period

    • Administration information

    • Knowledge Warehouse information

      Note Note

      You can only display the Knowledge Warehouse information.

    • Document copy options

      • Copy options

      • Select document types

    • Select session language

    • History and Check-Out/Check-In Functionality

      • Activate or deactivate

        Note Note

        You can only activate these two functions if you have assigned a maintenance project to the solution.

    • E-mail if check-out/check-in status changes

      If you use the check-out/check-in functionality, you can send e-mails when you change the check-out/check-in status. A dialog box, in which you can specify the recipient, appears.

      Note Note

      If your user has the authorization to read authorization data in the system, the system suggests persons who can approve the status change. If your user does not have this authorization, a message appears in the status line telling you that no recipients are authorized. In this case, enter the recipients manually.

    • Assign and create a maintenance project

      Note Note

      The system goes to the Project Administration. Assign the Project Manager role to the users. For more information, see the SAP Solution Manager Security Guide.

    • Central systems for test cases

      Note Note

      If you flag a central system as obligatory, you no longer need to assign logical components for the business scenarios, to the test cases, on the Test Cases tab.

  6. Save your entries.
