Definition

The shelf life profile determines the information and the level of detail that is displayed in the shelf life view in Supply Network Planning (SNP).

Use

To display the shelf life view in interactive Supply Network Planning you must specify a shelf life profile. This profile determines the layout and contents of the shelf life view.

To specify the shelf life profile, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose Advanced Planning and Optimization Supply Network Planning Environment Current Settings Profiles Define SNP Shelf Life Profile.

Structure

Header Information

You define the name of the profile in the Header Information field. A shelf life profile is always assigned to exactly one planning book and data view combination. The profile name must therefore be unique for this combination.

To define that a given profile should be used as the default profile for the assigned planning book and data view combination, you set the Default indicator.

Profile Details

In the Profile Details field, you define the information you want to be displayed as well as the level of detail. You can specify the following settings for demands, receipts and stocks independently:

To specify which demand, receipt, or stock elements should be displayed in the shelf life view, choose order key figures (for demands and receipts) or categories (for stocks).

You can define which shelf life data should be displayed for demands, receipts, or stocks in the Shelf Life Information field.

You can define the number and periodicity of the buckets into which the quantities of the elements are distributed according to their shelf life data in the Time Buckets Profile field.

To display aggregated data only, you set the Totals Only indicator. If the indicator is set, the system does not show key figure or category-specific information but only their sums. For stock elements, the Totals Only indicator is always set.
