Task Management
Tasks are operations to be performed by someone, to certain specifications and completion criteria, at specified times.
The applications in the Solution Manager that use tasks are:
Issue and Top Issue Management
Change Request Management
Central System Administration
Downtime Management
Job Scheduling Management
You use Task Management to handle tasks in these applications, from a single point of access, to save time and avoid unnecessary maintenance across applications. You can only create new tasks in their applications or you can create application-independent ad-hoc tasks in the Task Management. For more information, see SAP Note 1245491.
By Timing – You can manage tasks by the following attributes:
Overdue
Active
Task created or completed on a specified date or in a specified period
By Application – You can manage the tasks that are created in a specified application or ad-hoc.
Setup CSA – You can define the Central System Administration (CSA) tasks for any system in the solution
