The database system administrator (also called SYSDBA user) is the first database user. This user is created when a database is created. The default name of the database system administrator is DBADMIN, in SAP systems SUPERDBA.

This database system administrator has the most comprehensive rights of all database users. The database system administrator is a database user of class SYSDBA (administrator) and a DBM operator with all DBM server permissions.
