Adding/Changing Context
Information
If a change request was created from within a solution (transaction DSWP), context information such as which system and logical component are assigned, and which SAP Notes and Support Packages need to be implemented is automatically transferred to the change request. In your role as change manager you can choose to add or change this context information before you approve the change request. This context information then applies to all follow-on documents of the change request.

This procedure applies to all change transactions.
1. Open the change transaction or change request (by calling transaction CRMD_ORDER, for example).
2. Choose Transaction Data.
3. Select the Context tab page.
4. You now have two options:
¡ If context information already exists, perform any or all of the following tasks by clicking the relevant node with the secondary mouse button:
§ Add context data
§ Delete context data
§ Navigate to SAP Service Marketplace (for SAP Notes and Support Packages)
§ Implement SAP Note
¡ If no context information exists, add it as follows:
i. First add a solution as the root of the context information by choosing Create Solution.
ii. Click the Solution Number <number> node with the secondary mouse button and then choose Add → Software Maintenance.
The system adds the Software Maintenance node to the list.
iii. Click the Software Maintenance node with the secondary mouse button and then choose Add → System.
The systems adds the System <system ID> node to the list.
iv. Click the System <system ID> node with the secondary mouse button and then choose Add → Logical Component.
The system adds the Logical Component <component ID> node to the list.
v. Click the Logical Component <component ID> node with the secondary mouse button and then choose Add → Notes (or Add → Support Packages).
vi. Enter the numbers of the relevant SAP Notes or Support Packages.
You can now navigate to SAP Service Marketplace to view the corresponding details.
5. Choose Save.

If you process an urgent correction while it is in the In Development phase, you can implement the assigned SAP Notes in the development system by means of transaction SNOTE (by clicking the <SAP Note number> node with the secondary mouse button and then choosing Implement). For this purpose you require a transport request.

Once you have approved a change request, the context information is transferred to the follow-on transaction (urgent correction, for example). However, the context information can then no longer be changed; information can only be added.
When you have finished adding or changing the context information, you can proceed to approve the change request.
