Monitoring Web Dynpro ABAP
Applications
Web Dynpro
ABAP applications are monitored automatically within the Computing Center
Management System (CCMS) in
Monitor Templates
for the
Entire
System. For further information on the CCMS, see
Monitoring in the
CCMS and the
Alert Monitor.
In the monitoring process, information is collected about the Web Dynpro ABAP applications, and this information can be viewed in transaction RZ20. Here you can see which applications are in use, and how often they are called up. The information is updated hourly and relates to today’s date, since on the first collection after midnight all values are initialized once they have been read out.
If you have
declared one system as the central monitoring system in your system landscape,
Web Dynpro ABAP applications are monitored automatically in CCMS. In this system all monitoring information
within your system landscape is collected and displayed. See also
Configuring a Central
Monitoring System (CEN). In this section refer to
Activating Background
Dispatching.
The following information is displayed in the Web Dynpro ABAP monitor:
● ApplicationCount
This performance attribute, always in green, specifies how many different applications have been called up since the last data collection the hour before (on the same day).
● SessionCount
This performance attribute, always in green, specifies how many sessions have been called up since the last data collection the hour before (on the same day).
● round trips
This performance attribute, always in green, specifies how many roundtrips have taken place in the sessions listed.
● CpuTime
This performance attribute, always in green, specifies how many seconds it took to perform the roundtrips listed above.
● Data
This log attribute is always in white, and displays in a table the data for the application with the largest number of sessions. In addition to the performance attributes listed above the number of timeouts is also specified – how often the application was stopped because of a timeout – and the session time - the time in seconds between when the application was called and when it was stopped.
