Settings for Historical Data Capture and
Maintenance
You have made the following settings for historical data capture and maintenance to generate a demand history:
● Depending on how you wish to load history data from SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM) or SAP ERP, you have either implemented SAP CRM or SAP ERP or both systems.
● You have implemented the Business Intelligence system for SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) and activated the business content for Service Parts Planning (SPP). For more information, see Business Content for Historical Data Capture and Maintenance.
● Depending on whether you wish to load historical data from SAP CRM or SAP ERP you have either made a connection between SAP CRM and SAP SCM or a connection between SAP ERP and SAP SCM or both connections.
If you wish to load
order data from SAP CRM or from SAP ERP Sales and Distribution (SAP ERP SD),
you need to have made the necessary settings for the
product availability
check and the
rules-based
availability check (rules-based ATP check).
●
You have activated
the following
triggers that
trigger a reorganization of the demand history:
○ SPP_BOD_DELETE (BOD assignment is deleted)
○ SPP_NEW_BOD_ASSIGN (new assignment of a BOD)
○ SPP_REPL_INDI_CHANGE (replenishment indicator was changed)
● You have activated the following triggers that set the planning services for demand history reorganization and thus trigger other SPP planning services, such as the forecasting and inventory planning services.
○ SPP_RLG_DONE (data realignment of demand history performed)
○ SPP_RLG_DONE_BOD (data realignment of demand history performed (BOD))
● You have executed the following IMG activities in Customizing for SPP:
○ Define Service Profile for Reorganization of Demand History
In this IMG activity you have defined service profiles for promotion, for supersession, and for demand history adjustment.
○ Make General Settings for Demand History
○ Initialize Data Realignment of Demand History
For more information about these settings, see the Implementation Guide (IMG) for Advanced Planning and Optimization under Supply Chain Planning → Service Parts Planning (SPP) → Forecasting.
● You have checked or changed the semantic mapping we delivered in Customizing for Advanced Planning and Optimization under Basis Settings → Transaction Data Layer (TDL) → Make Settings for TDL Semantics. You find the semantic mapping for the various InfoObjects in the navigation tree on your left under InfoProvider Semantics, Semantics in InfoSource, and Data Source Semantics.

We recommend that you keep the standard settings that we deliver.
● In Customizing for SCM Basis you have executed the IMG activity TDL: Configure Decision Tables.

We recommend that you keep the standard settings that we deliver.
If you want to define this IMG activity yourself, you must specify the component-business object combination SPP_HIST and define the corresponding decision tables and DAO initialization parameters.
Fore more information, see the IMG for SCM Basis under Data Management Layer → Transaction Data Layer (TDL).
●
In Customizing for
SCM Basis you have scheduled the planning services for historical
capture and maintenance in the Planning Service Manager (PSM). For more
information, see
Use of the Planning
Service Manager in SPP and
PSM Services for
Demand History Creation.
●
You have
modeled replacement
strategies and scheduled them in the master data for product and location
interchangeability. For further information see
Product
Interchangeability in SPP.
In SAP NetWeaver usage type Business Intelligence (BI) you have initialized Realtime Data Acquisition (RDA) for the maintaining historical data.
For more information about how you can initialize RDA for historical data maintenance see Initialize RDA for Historical Data Maintenance.
For general information on RDA, see the SAP Library for SAP NetWeaver under SAP NetWeaver Library → SAP NetWeaver by Key Capability → Integration Information by Key Capability → Business Intelligence → Data Warehousing → Real-Time Data Acquisition.
For the demand categories we defined to be in your system, you have transferred the DataSources 9ADEM_CAT and 9ADEM_CAT_TXT as well as InfoSources 9ADEM_CAT and 9ADEM_CAT_TXT to the Business intelligence system (BI system) in SAP SCM and activated them. You have transferred the following InfoPackages for these InfoSources:
● Load Master Data from APO
● Load Texts for Demand Categories from APO

Each time you change the relevant for forecast indicator of a demand category, you have to reactivate the master data of characteristic 9ADEM_CAT.
