GP Monitor in the SAP NetWeaver Administrator

The GP Monitor is a Guided Procedures plug-in for the SAP NetWeaver Administrator. You start the GP monitor with http://<host>:<port>/nwa Monitoring Guided Procedures.

You can use the GP Monitor to carry out the following tasks:

Check the status of applications and libraries of CAF-GP

The functions of the GP framework are implemented as follows:

·        In a service of the J2EE Engine

·        In a number of J2EE Engine libraries

·        In various applications based on Web Dynpro and the J2EE Engine

You can also perform each task whenever the need occurs.

Check requests for export and import of GP content

You view the various transport requests created or received as an export or import in the transport system of Guided Procedures.

After transport requests have been created

Find activated GP objects

You search the GP design time for all types of active and deprecated GP objects.

Weekly

Find process instances

You search the GP runtime for all process instances and display their details.

Weekly

View the queues of interactive forms

You search the queues of interactive forms received by e-mail and retrieve detail information.

Daily

Visual Administrator and CCMS

You can use various tools provided by the Visual Administrator of the J2EE Engine to monitor the availability and performance of Guided Procedures.

Start the Visual Administrator as follows:

·        Under Windows:

\usr\sap\<server_name>\JC<instance_ID>\j2ee\admin\go.bat

·        Under UNIX:

/usr/sap/<server_name>/JC<instance_ID>/j2ee/admin/go.sh

There choose Cluster <J2EE-Engine ID> Server<ID> Services.

You can use the Visual Administrator to carry out the following tasks:
