Prerequisites
The following table provides you with an overview of the various tools and engines that must be installed and configured to run SAP NetWeaver usage type PI. The parameters host and port refer to the host name and connection port of your Integration Server.

Adapter Engine |
The Adapter Engine is a separate software component that is automatically installed on the Integration Server. However, you can also install the Adapter Engine separately on another host.
