For critical settings in the Collaboration area, SAP provides specific functions that check the plausibility of the settings and report any errors. This includes functions for troubleshooting in the following areas:

Area

Troubleshooting

E-Mail Connectivity

If the system identifies problems with the configuration of the e-mail connectivity, it outputs the corresponding error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for E-Mail Connectivity.

Microsoft Exchange Connectivity

In the case of problems with the Microsoft Exchange Connectivity, the system outputs error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for Microsoft Exchange Connectivity.

Lotus Domino Connectivity

In the case of problems with Lotus Domino Connectivity, the system outputs error codes. For the meaning of these error codes and a description of the solutions, see Troubleshooting for Lotus Domino Connectivity.

MSX-A Setup

Since the setup and configuration of the MSX-A component requires special care, SAP delivers a special test application for the connectivity. You can use the predefined steps in this test application to check that the setup is correct. See Testing MSX-A Setup

Synchronous Collaboration Framework (SCF)

In the event of changes to the SCF configuration (configuration of the services for synchronous collaboration), the system checks the plausibility of the settings and outputs exception messages, if necessary.

Room and room part templates

When creating templates, the system automatically checks them for completeness and the plausibility of the settings. You can start the check functions manually for individual templates. See Checking Templates
