On this tab, you configure the infrastructure of the monitoring. You specify the data to be monitored and enter the monitoring times.

Prerequisites

You have opened the tab in change mode.

Procedure

To edit the tab, you proceed as follows:

  1. In the Data Collection screen area, under Critical Job, enter the relevance of the job to be monitored:

    • The system monitors critical jobs in shorter intervals than non-critical jobs. You define this time interval in the business process monitoring session (default setting: 5 minutes).

    • The infrastructure of the business process monitoring monitors non-critical jobs every 60 minutes.

  2. In the Scheduling screen area, under Start Procedure, you specify when or under which conditions the job monitoring should start.

    Example Example

You have scheduled the job from the job documentation using the BC-XB interface and the Date/Time starting method. Now specify Date/Time as the starting method for the job monitoring.

    End of the example.

    Note Note

The starting procedure selected affects which alert types are available to you.

    End of the note.
  3. In the Scheduling screen area, you specify whether the job monitoring is to run weekly or monthly:

    • Weekly job monitoring: In the Weekdays screen area, you specify on which days of the week job monitoring is to be active.

      Note Note

The selection is allowed to differ from the job scheduling.

      End of the note.
    • Monthly job monitoring: In the Calendar screen area, you enter the settings for the factory calendar.

      Note Note

In the SAP system, location-specific calendars (such as the factory calendar) can be defined. These calendars can incorporate both regional holiday regulations and location-specific company regulations.

      End of the note.
      • Under Calendar, you enter the ID of the factory calendar. If you do not enter any ID in the Calendar field, the system assumes that every day in the month is a working day.

      • Under Day and Relative to, you specify how many days from the start or end of the month the job monitoring is to be performed.

      • Under Period, you specify the interval at which the job monitoring is to be repeated, for example, every two months.

      • Under First Month, you enter the first month the system is to consider the scheduling of the job monitoring.

  4. Save your entries.
