Collaborative Planning Installation and
Settings
To be able to conduct Collaborative Planning (CLP) with your partners, you must prepare access to the Web using the installation of the CLP Internet component. You can use the SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) in connection with the following Collaboration Planning services:
○ Collaborative Supply and Demand Planning (CLPSDP), transaction /SAPAPO/CLPISDP
To be able to use this service, you also require the service CLPGLOBAL.
○ Collaborative Promotion Planning (CLPPROMCAL), transaction /SAPAPO/CLPIPCAL
To be able to use this service, you also require the service CLPGLOBAL.
○ Collaborative Transportation Planning (CLPBID), transaction /SAPAPO/CLPITPL, (requires the service CLPGLOBAL)
To be able to use this service, you also require the service CLPGLOBAL.
○ Functions of the Alert Monitor
■ Displaying Alerts (AMON)
■ Alert Overview (AMON_STATIST)
The SAP Internet Transaction Server (ITS) must be installed.
1. First decide which of the two available versions of the ITS you want to use:
○ ITS Standalone
This version
of ITS requires its own server. If you use this version, you first have to
publish the required ITS files, for example service files, templates or MIME
objects, for the corresponding ITS. Then you publish the above named services
from within your SCM system. For more information about this, see
SAP Web Application Builder for ITS
Services. For general information about ITS Standalone, see the SAP
Library of the SAP Web Application Server and SAP Note 720121.
○ Integrated ITS
This version of the ITS is available as of SAP Web Application Server 640. The ITS is integrated into the kernel and is automatically installed when you install the kernel. This means that you no longer require a separate server for the ITS.
The services are delivered by SAP in an inactive state, due to security reasons. You activate the above services for Collaborative Planning in the Internet Communication Framework (ICF), using transaction SICF (HTTP Service Hierarchy Maintenance). Expand the path default_host/sap/bc/gui/sap/its and select the relevant services. Activate these using the context menu. You must always activate the service CLPGLOBAL, as this is required by all Collaborative Planning applications, with the exception of the Alert Monitor.
You still
need to publish the corresponding ITS files before it can be used. For more
information about this, see
SAP Web Application Builder for ITS
Services and SAP Note 678904.
For more information about the integrated ITS, see the following:
■
SAP Library of the
SAP Web Application Server under
SAP ITS in the SAP Web Application
Server.
■ SAP Note 709038 for general information on the integrated SAP ITS.

The templates for SAP APO Collaborative Planning are optimized for Internet Explorer and are not correctly displayed in other Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator.
