Set-Up Interface Monitor
Objects
Define interface monitor objects. You can set-up monitor objects for the following interfaces:
● ALE/EDI
● qRFC
You have:
● Created business processes for monitoring, in the Solution Directory
● Created interfaces between your business processes in the Solution Directory
● Set-up the required interfaces in the Business Process Monitoring SETUP session
● created a transport request
● ALE/EDI interface
You create monitor objects for outgoing (from sender system) and incoming (to recipient system) interfaces in the same way:

a. Create the monitor object in the satellite system:
...
i. Go to your satellite system in the view ALE/CCMS Monitoring Objects (transaction: BDMO).
ii. Choose the Create/Activate Monitoring Objects pushbutton.
You go to the table maintenance for the transaction.
iii. Choose New Entries, and enter the required data.

The monitor object name is valid for both the incoming and outgoing interfaces, if both sides are to be monitored.
iv. Save your entries.
b. Detail the monitor object in the satellite system:
i. Go to your satellite system in the view ALE/CCMS Monitoring Objects (transaction: BDMO).
ii. Choose the monitor object from the possible entries help.
iii. Choose Change Monitoring Object.
You go to the Selection Conditions view.
iv. Define the message type for the interface.

If you:
■ create in the sender system, define the outgoing interface.
■ create in the recipient system, define the incoming interface.
v. Save your entries.
c. Start monitor objects in the view ALE/CCMS Monitoring Objects (transaction: BDMO) manually, if necessary:
i. Choose Monitoring Object -> Start All.

The system starts the job SAP_CCMS_MONI_BATCH_DP automatically every 15 minutes.
You can check whether the system has created the monitor object, in the view CCMS Monitoring Sets (transaction: RZ20).

a. Create the monitor object in the satellite system:

i. Go to Monitoring: Attributes and Methods (transaction: RZ21) in your satellite system.
ii. Choose Techn. Infrastructure -> Configure QRFC Monitoring.
You go to the table maintenance for the transaction.
iii. Choose New Entries, and enter the required data:

The name of the monitor object is valid for both the incoming and outgoing interfaces, if both sides are to be monitored
iv. Save your entries.

Create a transport request if necessary.
v. Select the relevant rows in the table.
vi. Double-click on the row Queue Group.
vii. Choose New Entries
viii. Select the owner from the possible entries help.
ix. Enter the queue group name from the transaction SMQ1 or SMQ2:
■ SMQ1: Outgoing interface
■ SMQ2: Incoming interface
x. Enter an MTE class name.
xi. Select the queue type from the possible entries help.
xii. Save your entries.
xiii. Double-click on the row Queue Assignments.
xiv. Choose New Entries
xv. Select the owner from the possible entries help.
xvi. Save your entries.
xvii. Run the QRFC monitor. Choose the following transaction:
■ SMQ1: Outgoing interface
■ SMQ2: Incoming interface
xviii. If the newly-created object has not appeared in the view CCMS Monitoring Sets after 15 minutes, start the monitor objects manually, with Monitoring Object -> Start All, in the view ALE/CCMS Monitoring Objects (transaction BDMO).
You can check whether the system has created the monitor object, in the view CCMS Monitoring Sets (transaction: RZ20).

a. Choose the Business Process Monitoring SETUP session in your SAP Solution Monitoring system (See Set-Up Business Process Monitoring)
b. Go to the check for the interface Interface <nn>.
c. Choose CCMS Reload <nn>
The monitor object appears in the table.
d. Save your entries.
