Consignment Stock in Transit in SAP APO
You can use this function in a consigned VMI process to model the quantity of products already issued from the vendor's unrestricted stock but not yet available as consignment stock. This means that after executing goods issue for a consignment fill-up order, you do not update the consignment stock immediately, but integrate consignment stock in transit as a separate key figure in the VMI planning process.
You have assigned the movement type 63A to the relevant schedule line category in Customizing. For more information, see Customizing for SAP ERP under .
You have deselected the Do Not Build Transit Stock checkbox for the transportation lane between the plant and the consignment location under Means of Transport. To access the transportation lane master data, on the SAP Easy Access screen, choose .
You have selected the consignment radio button for the relevant products under the product-specific transportation lane settings.
You build consignment stock in transit after posting a goods issue for the delivery in the SAP ERP system. The SAP ERP system transfers the stock in transit data to SAP APO via CIF, and the SAP APO system automatically updates the stock figures.
When the in-transit stock is available at the consignment location, you post a goods receipt. The system updates the consignment stock in SAP ERP, reduces the in-transit consignment stock and updates the consignment stock in SAP APO accordingly.
