Use

To access the runtime control in the Visual Administrator that deals with application tracing, choose Server Services Performance Tracing Runtime Application tracing tab. This tab provides several sub-tabs located on the left-hand side:

Application – the set of deployed applications;

Classes – the modified classes that have been classloaded;

Invocations – the captured method invocations;

Objects – a portion of the Java objects graph, if requested;

Plugins – a list of available plugins;

Each sub-tab has its own semantics and can have a set of applicable properties and actions

Procedure

The application tracing runtime provides the following individual functions:

View Nodes’ Properties

Select the node whose properties you want to display.

Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Properties (or use the available context menu).

The Properties dialog box appears. The displayed values cannot be changed.

Choose OK to exit the Properties dialog box.

Apply Actions Over Nodes

...

Select the node on which you want to perform an action.

Choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Action or use the available context menu.

If you use This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Action, a dialog box will appear with the available actions on this node.

If you use the context menu, the available actions will be displayed as menu items.

Choose the required action.

Refresh the Tree

 

Use This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Refresh to refresh the tree data.
