Modifying ManagedConnectionFactory
Properties
When a resource adapter is deployed, a ManagedConnectionFactory (MCF) is configured with a set of specific properties (configurable properties). You can change their values at runtime using the Runtimetab of Connector Container Service in the Visual Administrator.
Note that changing the property values may significantly alter the function of the resource adapter, which may also affect other applications that use it. Therefore, you must be careful when modifying the MCF properties.
To modify a property, use the following procedure:
1. In the Connector → Connector 1.0 tree select a resource adapter.
2. Go to Managed Connection Factory → Properties tab.
3. Select the property that you want to modify, and enter its new value in the Value field. You can also change the name, the type and the description of the property.
4. To apply the changes, choose Add.
5.
To save, choose
Save.
You can remove a property by selecting it and choosing Remove.
The Connector Container Service restarts the application containing the resource adapter to enable the changes.
