Procedure documentation Connecting J2EE Engine to the CCMS  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The RFC connection between the J2EE Engine and the CCMS is very important for the proper communication between the monitoring service in the Visual Administrator and the CCMS Alert Monitor. For example, if SAP Web AS Java is connected to a Central System (CEN) via the SAPCCMSR agent, the thresholds for the state monitors (the monitors in the monitoring tree) can be configured from either side – directly in the Monitoring Service of the Visual Administrator and out of the Alert Monitor in the CEN.

Procedure

To enable the customizing of the state monitors in the Central System, an RFC connection has to be made up. To do this, proceed as follows:

...

       1.      Choose Server Services JCo RFC Provider Runtime.

       2.      In the Bundles tab, create a bundle configuration.

The bundle identifies the central system from which the monitor configuration can be maintained.

To create a bundle configuration you have to define CCMS as a new RFC destination. For more information, see Registering a Destination.

Note

In the field Program ID field, enter the name of the new bundle.

The name must meet the following naming convention: SAP.CCMS.J2EE.<JSID>, where <JSID> is the (long-) SID of the monitored system.
