Connecting to a Database
This procedure enables you to connect to a database and scan a J2EE Engine system configuration.

The J2EE Engine system is scanned automatically when the Config Tool is running.
From the menu displayed in the command line, select Connect to DB and provide the following information:

1. Secure store file – specifies the path to the secure store properties file. This file contains secure data for connecting to the database or Visual Administrator. It is encrypted for security reasons.
2. Secure store key file – specifies the path to the secure store key file. The key file contains the password for the encrypted store file.
3. System name – specifies the name of the system to which this data applies.
4. Secure store lib – specifies the path to the IAIK package. It enables the encrypting of the properties file.
5. RDBMS connections – specifies a property key whose value contains the DB connection settings.
6. RDBMS driver location– specifies the path to the RDBMS driver.
7. RDBMS initial connections – specifies the number of initial connection to the database.
8. RDBMS maximum connections – specifies the maximum number of allowed connections to the database.
You successfully connect to a database.
