Executing a Web Dynpro Application:
Clients
The Web interface technology Web Dynpro is client-independent – that is, different clients can be implemented for the output of Web Dynpro applications.
When the application is executed on the SAP Enterprise Portal, you can use its functions. The SAP Enterprise Portal offers a role-based and safe access to information and enables you to use the event handling, navigation functions, as well as personalization. You can execute a Web Dynpro application in different browsers. For an overview of the browsers currently supported by SAP, use the following link in SAP Service Marketplace in the Product Availability Matrix: http://service.sap.com/pam
You can execute a Web Dynpro application on a mobile device. Supported devices are pocket PCs such as BlackBerry Wireless Handhelds. For more information on the development of Web Dynpro applications for mobile devices, refer to the section Mobile Web Dynpro Online.
As another option, you can execute a Web Dynpro application from a local Windows client. The Web Dynpro client for Windows is an SAP front end for the Microsoft Windows operating system. It can be used in a Web browser or from within the SAP GUI for Windows. For more information, refer to Web Dynpro Client for Windows.
