Function documentation DataSource Data Import and Export  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

You can export the data about a DataSource and save it to an XML file. For more information about the data type definition of the XML file, see data-sources.dtd. You can also import data from a file of this type to create a DataSource.

This function is available in the Runtime tab of the JDBC Connector Service in the Visual Administrator.

Activities

·        To export the data about a single DataSource, select the entry in the Resources DataSources <applicationName> tree and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Export Selected/All DataSources to XML.

·        To export the data about all DataSource objects assigned to an application, select the application in the Resources DataSources  tree and choose This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Export Selected/All DataSources to XML.

When exporting a DataSource to an XML, the system also saves the information about the associated application.

To import data from an XML file, use This graphic is explained in the accompanying text Import DataSources from XML.
