Use

This procedure enables you to view and edit the global properties of managers and services on the dispatcher or server. These properties are called “global” because they are valid for all dispatchers or servers in the cluster.

Note

If you want to change the properties of a specific cluster element, then select Instance IDxxxxx (where xxxxx is the ID number of the instance) from the displayed menu.

Procedure

Select Global dispatcher configuration or Global server configuration and follow the submenus displayed to view or edit the properties you need.

       1.      Managers

                            a.      Get manager info – lists all managers. Select one to view its properties

                            b.      Edit manager info – from the managers listed, select one to view and edit its properties. They are displayed one by one with the following data:

                                                  i.       Property name

                                                ii.       Default value – this is the initial default value and cannot be changed

                                               iii.       Custom value – you can edit it by choosing <E>, or set it as the default value by choosing <D>

Press Enterto continue with the next property, or enter <S> to skip all properties.

       2.      Services

                            a.      Get service info – lists all services. Select one to view its properties

                            b.      Edit service info – from the managers listed, select one to view and edit its properties. They are displayed one by one with the following data:

                                                  i.       Current startup mode

                                                ii.       Property name

                                               iii.       Default value – this is the initial default value and cannot be changed

                                               iv.       Custom value – you can edit it by choosing <E> or set it as the default value by choosing <D>
