The cost center manager can use this Web cockpit to obtain a quick overview of the current costs situation for all of his/her cost centers.

The Web cockpit consists of reports that show the cost center manager the plan-/actual situation for the cost centers over different periods of time (last period, quarters I – IV, current fiscal year). Applying personalization means that the reports are automatically filtered by the cost centers for which the cost center manager is responsible.

This Web cockpit can be used as a central self-service, also in tandem with other CO Web cockpits. Reports can be sent via this new distribution channel to thousands of addressees. Time-consuming and unreliable distribution of paper reports is a thing of the past: Costs are reduced, an the access to information is made quicker and better.

Cost center managers can use the reports in standard Web browsers. Additional software need not be installed.

Web Cockpit Structure

The Cockpit contains overview- and detail- views. You can switch between the time periods “last period”, “Quarters I- IV” and “Current Fiscal Year”. You can also move between a graphical and tabular view. The initial screen is made up of the view of the last period, restricted to the manager’s area of responsibility. The report can be filtered by individual cost center using a selection list. The detail report is called up by context from the overview report by selecting a table cell (characteristic or key figure).

You can use pushbuttons to print the report or send it as an email. The report data can be downloaded in Excel format.

The cockpit is delivered in two versions;

● as a stand-alone cockpit

● as iViews in the SAP Developer (SDN) Network. You can download the iView data and worksets as a Business Package via the Portal Content Portfolio (https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/developerareas/contentportfolio).
