QM-Specific Master Data 

Use

You can use this function to define quality inspection groups and quarantine periods.

You define the quality inspection group through the product. This enables you to group products by QM criteria. If the products are different but the inspections and inspection conditions of these products are the same, this simplifies the definition of inspection rules for you. Assign the same quality inspection group to the products that you want to check using the same inspection rules.

The quarantine period is the time in the corresponding time unit for which you have to store a product after production before you can ship it to the customer.

Integration

QM-specific master data is a component of the inspection rule and can be included in the inspection rule findings.

Prerequisites

To be able to use quality inspection groups, you have defined them in Customizing.

To do this, in Customizing for EWM choose Cross-Process Settings → Quality Management → Settings for Inspection Rules → Define Quality Inspection Groups.

Example

You define a quality inspection group 100% Metal and assign all metal products that you want to check 100% to this group. The group also has the same decisions and finding data as metals.
