Using Recurrences
Recurrences are used to automatically reschedule jobs in a trivial way. Redwood Software recommends the use of submit frames instead, as they offer greatly flexibility. The other main disadvantage in using recurrences is that all future jobs for the next two years are immediately be displayed in the job monitor. When submit frames are used, only the following job is visible in the job monitor.
Special care must be taken when editing a job that is part of a recurrence, as changes you make might get applied to all non-final jobs of the occurrence.
Changes made to any of the following parameters will be applied to all non-final jobs of the recurrence:
Job.ForcedProcessServer
Job.Priority
Job.Queue
Job.TimeWindow
Job.TimeWindowTimeZone
JobParameter.InValue
When you decrease the number of recurrences, any surplus jobs will be canceled.
