Process Flow for One-Time Kanban In SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) you use one-time kanban to replenish when specifically requested. There are two main differences between one-time kanban and classic kanban. The differences are as follows:
In one-time Kanban there is no status
Full
. Goods Receipt in SAP ERP moves the SAP SNC kanban object to the status
Closed
.
You can reuse a one-time kanban card with the status
Closed
in other one-time kanban control cycles.
The process is as follows:
In SAP ERP a o ne-time Kanban is created in an event driven control cycle. In SAP SNC the same kanban object either does not exist, or it exists with the status Closed.
You can update a one-time Kanban as usual in SAP ERP. Any changes you make are reflected in SAP SNC.
Note
This step is optional.
You can cancel a one-time Kanban in SAP ERP. The kanban object in SAP SNC is deleted.
Note
This step is optional.
You can set
Empty
kanban objects into the status
In Transit
or
In Work
in SAP SNC.
Note
This is no different from the classic Kanban process.
When a one-time Kanban arrives to its destination, a goods receipt enters SAP SNC. If the referred kanban object is a one-time Kanban with the status
In Transit
, the kanban object changes to status
Closed
. If this does not happen the goods receipt fails.
In SAP ERP, the kanban object now has the status
Full
. The next time it is set to
Empty
in SAP ERP, the system can reuse the kanban ID of the container. If the kanban object in SAP SNC is not in status
Closed
, the goods receipt processing fails.
