An index view used to specify operation mapping.

Use

You use the Data Source tab page to specify the data source for entity services using external service operations and for operation mapping. You can map input and output attributes and view mapped parameters.

Structure

The Data Source tab page lists the entity and external service operations and parameters used in the services modeler. The tab page contains a tabular view listing entity service and external operations and a graphical view for mapping operations.

Entity Service Operations

Entity service operations used in the service modeling tool of CAF are listed in Entity Service Operations. By selecting an operation in this table, you can view attributes associated with the entity service operation.

You can view the key attributes in the Input node. Complex attributes are listed according to entity service name in the Output node.

External Operations

External operations selected for use in an entity service operation are listed in External Operations. By selecting an operation name in the External Operations table, you can view the contents of the external list. Parameters are listed in the Input and Output nodes.

Entity Service and External Parameters

You can see the result of mapped input and output parameters in the Entity Service Operation Parameters table. Listed in the table is the type of operation mapped (for example, input or output) and the name of the attribute associated with the mapping.

In External Operation Parameters, you can see an overview of all input parameters from the external list. Output parameters are only displayed after an output parameter has been mapped.

You can also optionally define a default value to appear in a field (column Source constant) or choose that a field must be filled (column null?).
