 Rounding

Use

SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) automatically rounds up quantities to a whole-numbered multiple of a rounding value. Rounding is, for example, relevant for the following objects:

  • In the SMI Monitor for planned receipts

  • In ASN processing for ASN items

  • In the Delivery Control Monitor (DCM) for gross and net delivery quantities

Prerequisites

You have set a rounding value for the location product. To do so, you have the following options:

  • In the SAP SNC system, you set the rounding value on the Lot Size tab page in the location product master.

  • You can also set the rounding value on the Web user interface of SAP SNC. To do so, choose Start of the navigation path Master Data Next navigation step Product Next navigation step Location Product Settings End of the navigation path in the Web application menu. The value set here overrides the value in the location product master.

Activities

  • Round planned receipts

    If you choose Simulate or Save in the details of the SMI Monitor, SAP SNC rounds up the planned receipts automatically according to the rounding value that has been set.

    You can set a different rounding value during planning. If, thereafter, you choose Simulate or Save , SAP SNC uses the new rounding value for all planned receipts that you have created or changed since the last time you saved.

  • Round ASN item quantities

    If you want to round the item quantities of a draft ASN in ASN processing, select the ASN items and choose Round . SAP SNC rounds up each item quantity according to the rounding value set for each location product.

  • Round Net and Gross Delivery Quantities in the DCM

    SAP SNC automatically rounds gross and net delivery quantities to a value that does not exceed the maximum stock level. For more information, see Rounding the Gross and Net Delivery Quantities .
