The active forecast within SAP F&R processes can represent merge information that could include aggregated order forecast (AOF), planning data or calculated consumption forecast. SAP F&R Analytics allows you to compare the active forecast data with the automatically calculated consumption forecast. Depending on the type of analytical report (daily exception based reports or weekly non-exception based reports), SAP F&R Analytics can retrieves the forecast and active forecast information from different sources: SAP F&R Processor (FRP) or time series management (TSM).

This active forecast information is active and is included in the demand calculation of a location product for particular predefined periods. SAP F&R Analytics allows you to display the automatically calculated forecast and active forecast data information and indicates which type of information was active (for example, AOF, planning data or calculated consumption forecast) for the demand calculation for a given period.
