0CCOMP_HLP is a calculation input characteristic that is linked to the characteristics cost component structure , cost component and indicator level/lower level. This makes the exception aggregation possible using all and not just one of these characteristics. The exception aggregation is required because the quantity is contained in all of the data records for a costing. This means that were the summation to use all cost components for example, the quantity which is contained in the data records for every cost component would likewise be totaled. The exception aggregation prevents the quantity being totaled.
