In the standard system, the supplier can change a published ASN on the Web user interface of SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) only if this has been explicitly set in Customizing. You make the necessary setting for this by choosing the SNC Performs Validation; Published ASNs Can Be Changed validation scenario in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration under Start of the navigation path Delivery Next navigation step ASN Next navigation step Define Validation Scenarios End of the navigation path.

The default setting is SNC Performs Validation; Published ASNs Cannot Be Changed.

The SNC Performs Validation; Published ASNs Can Be Changed validation scenario is available as of certain Support Packages, or by implementing specific SAP Notes. In the Service Parts Management business scenario, an ASN with the status Published can be changed on the Web UI if this has been set in Customizing for the ASN. For more information, see Processing ASNs in Service Parts Management and External Validation.

ASNs with the following statuses cannot be changed neither in the standard scenario nor in the Service Parts Management business scenario:

  • Partial Goods Receipt

  • Goods Receipt Complete

  • Closed

  • Canceled
