You use this DataSource to transfer the texts of commodity codes from SAP Global Trade Services (SAP GTS) to SAP NetWeaver Business Intelligence (BI). You assign commodity codes with the texts belonging to them to your products to identify them. This identification is required to satisfy legal import and export requirements. The first six digits for the products are defined internationally. The number of additional digits for classifying the products depends on the customs area; commodity codes in the European Union, for example, consists of 10 to 12 digits. For more information, see the application documentation for SAP Customs Management.

All these DataSources are of the type "direct update". The DataSources provide the necessary information for analyzing global trade activities on both the import and export side. In SAP GTS you create and maintain the products you import and export. The information that either you need to enter manually or the system enters automatically in the product master data is very comprehensive. This includes not only the product number but also official classification numbers by which customs authorities identify products that are traded across customs borders. These classification numbers also denote whether a product is, for example, relevant for restitution or not. For more information on tariff code numbers that are assigned to products in SAP GTS, see the table STCTS. Part of the master data you need to maintain in SAP GTS includes customs offices with which you communicate in inbound and outbound customs processes. You also maintain data on the mode of transport you use to import or export your products. In addition, all business transactions in SAP GTS are based on specific legal regulations and you also have to ensure that you set the appropriate indicators in the customs document if your products are eligible for preference or for restitution, for example. Therefore, the DataSource 0SLL_FRELR_TEXT only provides data from restitution-relevant products. The DataSource 0SLL_FREFL_TEXT only provides data from preference-relevant products. More information about master data maintenance in SAP GTS is available in the SAP Library under SAP Global Trade Services → SAP Compliance Management/SAP Customs Management/SAP Risk Management → Master Data.
