CRM Business Partner: Business Partner Group (From
Hierarchy)
Technical Name: 0BP_GRP
The hierarchy nodes in the SAP CRM business partner group hierarchy are displayed using business partner groups. The leaves of the business partner group hierarchy are assigned to the nodes using a hierarchy extractor for the business partner (0BPARTNER).

Up to CRM 3.1/BW 3.0B, text nodes without their own InfoObject were used to structure the business partner hierarchy using the business partner (0BPARTNER).
If an SAP R/3 customer hierarchy is copied to SAP CRM, the hierarchy’s nodes and leaves are also displayed in CRM as business partner groups. Nodes and leaves of an SAP R/3 customer hierarchy are made up of the SAP R/3 customer and sales area. These can be uniquely identified in SAP CRM with an SAP CRM business partner and sales area.
Business partner groups that have been generated from an SAP R/3 customer hierarchy can be imported into SAP BW as follows:
· As a hierarchy using the business partner group (0BP_GRP)
· With the attributes business partner and CRM sales area
· With other attributes (such as customer group 1-5) that serve in SAP R/3 as classification characteristics for the sales view of the customer.
These attributes can only be supplied from SAP CRM if a business partner group has been generated in SAP CRM following the download of an SAP R/3 customer hierarchy.

The business partner group has been enhanced so that hierarchically stored planning data for master data with an original in SAP CRM (for trade promotions, for example) can be compared with actual figures from SAP R/3. You can use the DataSource 0CRM_BPGRP_ATTR to extract all attributes from SAP CRM using the view CRMV_BP_GRP_ATTR.

DataSources ... 1. 0CRM_BP_GRP_HIER: The hierarchy is extracted using the valid structure for the current date. This lets you schedule the extraction periodically as a background job with the same InfoPackage. 2. 0CRM_BP_GRP_NAME_HIER: The entire hierarchy structure is fixed for a period. You can choose a quarter as the period in SAP CRM. The hierarchy structure that is valid on the last day of the quarter is extracted. 3. 0CRM_BP_GRP_STRUCT_HIER: Each hierarchy node should be considered separately as regards the time dependency. A hierarchy that has a fixed structure over a period of time provides a better performance for queries. |
