Closing ASN Items If you do not expect any more changes to an ASN item for which you may only have received one partial delivery until now, and you regard the delivery as complete, you can close the ASN item in SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC). The consequences of this are as follows:
The ASN item acquires the delivery status
Closed
.
SAP SNC removes the undelivered item quantity from the in-transit quantity.
If all items in an ASN in SAP SNC have the status
Closed
, SAP SNC also automatically sets the status
Closed
for the ASN header.
You can close an ASN item as follows:
Manually in SAP SNC
In ASN processing in SAP SNC, you can manually close an ASN with the status
Published
or
Partial Goods Receipt
. When you call this function, SAP SNC first closes all ASN items that have the status
Published
or
Partial Goods Receipt
. If all ASN items acquire the status
Closed
as a result, SAP SNC also sets the status
Closed
for the ASN header. If you want to execute the function, you choose
Close
in the ASN overview or in the ASN details.
With a report in the SAP SNC system
SAP SNC system administration can also close ASNs with the status
Published
or
Partial Goods Receipt
using the /SCA/DM_BOL_DLV_CLOSE report. For more information, see
Closing ASNs with the /SCA/DM_BOL_DLV_CLOSE Report
.
Caution
Manual closing only has an effect in SAP SNC. SAP SNC does not send a message to the backend system of the customer or supplier.
