Validation in Kanban Processing

The following kanban-specific validations checks are available in kanban processing of SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC).

The following table lists the validation checks that validate kanban releases:

REL_KANBAN_SDLTYPE_INVALID	The level of commitment of the kanban release schedule line indicates a forecast.

The following table lists the validation checks that validate kanban requests:

KNBN_OVERREQUEST	Checks if a kanban request has the same or a lower quantity than the kanban container maintained in the control cycle.
KNBN_UNDERREQUEST	Checks if a kanban request has the same or a higher quantity than the kanban container maintained in the control cycle.

The following table lists validation checks that validate kanban objects:

Technical Name of Validation Check	Validation Check Description
KANBAN_OVER_DELIVERY	Checks whether a kanban has the status In Transit. The system executes the check when the supplier sets a kanban to the status In Transit in kanban processing. If the kanban already has the status In Transit, the supplier cannot publish any further ASNs for this kanban.

The following table lists validation checks that validate ASNs:

Technical Name of Validation Check	Validation Check Description
KANBAN_PO_OVERDELIVERY	Checks for an ASN, whether the ASN quantity exceeds the kanban quantity in the kanban request.
KANBAN_PO_UNDERDELIVERY	Checks for an ASN, whether the ASN quantity falls short of the kanban quantity in the kanban request.
KNBN_OVERDELIVERY	Checks for an ASN, whether a kanban is already set to Full when a user creates an ASN
KNBN_PROCESSING_ALREADY_STARTED	Checks for an ASN, whether a kanban already exists when a user creates an ASN for that kanban.
ASN_KANBAN_ID_COPY	Checks for an ASN, whether the ASN contains a Kanban ID. If the ASN does not contain a Kanban ID, SAP SNC copies the Kanban ID from the referenced order document to the ASN.

Features

SAP delivers the standard validation profile KNB1. The system uses this profile for processes in kanban processing. The kanban processes are shown in the following table:
