On the SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) Web user interface, the detail views for releases, purchase orders, and advanced shipping notifications (ASNs) provide address information for the following locations:

  • Ship-From Location

  • Customer Location

  • Ship-to Location

  • Goods Recipient

For each object, the there are fields for the master data ID in SAP SNC and for the address. SAP SNC automatically determines the addresses data from the following sources:

  • From the XML message that transferred the document to SAP SNC.

  • From the master data in SAP SNC.

Features

In the Supply Network Collaboration Customizing settings, you can configure the addresses to be used in SAP SNC for business partners or locations under Start of the navigation path Basic Settings Next navigation step Processing Inbound and Outbound Messages Next navigation step Addresses Next navigation step Define Address Source End of the navigation path. You have the following options:

  • If the XML message contains an address for an object, SAP SNC uses this address. Otherwise, it uses the address from the object master data. This is the standard setting.

  • SAP SNC only uses the addresses from the master data.

  • SAP SNC uses the following addresses:

    • Addresses of the goods recipient and the ship-to location from the XML message

    • Other addresses from the SNC master data

Note that the addresses in the master data can differ from the addresses in the XML message.

You can make the setting dependent on the following characteristics:

  • XML message type

  • Business partner that sends the XML message

  • Business partner that receives the XML message
