Purchase Orders and Replenishment Orders: Settings for Consensus Finding
Purchase order collaboration and replenishment order collaboration use deviation analysis from consensus finding to compare request data and confirmation data (for example, quantities or dates). For deviation analysis, make the following settings:
You determine tolerance values (for example, for quantity deviations or date deviations).
To do this, you define consensus profiles and consensus rules. A consensus profile contains a tolerance value (for example, a specific overdelivery tolerance or delay tolerance). In the consensus rule, you enter the required consensus profiles (tolerance values) and the comparison algorithm that you want the deviation analysis to use.
You determine which settings (for example, tolerances) the deviation analysis is to use for which parameter combination (for example, customer, supplier, and product). To do this, you create condition records, and assign to each condition record the desired consensus rule.
You define consensus profiles and consensus rules in Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under as follows:
Quantity Tolerances and Time Tolerances
Quantity tolerances and time tolerances are relevant for the approval process. You make the following settings for quantity tolerances and time tolerances:
Under Consensus Profiles
, you define a quantity profile or time profile for each quantity tolerance value or time tolerance value. The DA_QTY_2
quantity profile and the DA_TIME_2
time profile
are available in the standard configuration.
Under Maintain Consensus Rules
, you create a consensus rule, containing the corresponding quantity profile and time profile, for each required combination of quantity tolerance and time tolerance. For the comparison algorithm, use the permissible class DA_QTY_TIME_02
.
The consensus rule DA_QTY_TIME_02
is available in the standard system.
Price Tolerances
Price tolerances are relevant for price confirmation. You make the following settings for price tolerances:
Under Consensus Profile
, define a price profile for each price tolerance value. The price profile DA_PRICE
is available in the standard system. Moreover, you determine whether the deviation analysis compares the confirmed
price with the requested price or with the original price, as follows:
If you choose the R
data type, consensus finding compares the confirmed price with the requested price.
If you choose the O
data type, consensus finding compares the confirmed price with the original price.
For more information, see Price Confirmation.
Under Maintain Consensus Rules
, you create a consensus rule for every required price tolerance value, in which you enter the corresponding price profile. For the comparison algorithm, use the permissible class DA_PRICE
.
The consensus rule DA_PRICE
is available in the standard system.
To assign consensus rules to the relevant parameter combinations (see above), you must create at least one condition record. On the SAP Easy Access
screen, choose .
Use the following settings for purchase orders and replenishment orders:
Condition Type: 1000
Order Document Type: ORDR
(purchase order) or VGOR
(replenishment order)
For purchase orders with price confirmation, you use order document type ORPR
.
Note
No other settings are required for the condition technique. We deliver standard Customizing for consensus finding. You only need to change the settings for the condition technique if you want to override these default settings. For more information, see Customizing for Supply
Network Collaboration
under .
For the approval process in purchase order collaboration to use consensus finding, you must create at least one condition record. If you do not create a condition record, SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) does not use consensus finding, but rather the approval process without consensus
finding instead (approval process without tolerances). If settings for both procedures exists, and the system finds a consensus rule, then the system uses the consensus finding. For more information, see Customizing for Supply Network Collaboration
under .
