Roles for SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC)
Collection of activities that a user can perform in SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC).
You can use predefined user roles for SAP SNC. With these roles, you can assign the correct authorizations and user menus to SAP SNC users. You can either use these roles as they are defined or you can adapt them to your company-specific needs. In addition, you can use the authorization objects for these roles to create your own roles.
There are two types of roles available:
Process-oriented roles
You use these roles when you want to provide users at customers or suppliers with authorizations that they require for a business process. For example, if you support a purchase order collaboration process with SAP SNC, you can use the customer and supplier roles for purchase order collaboration. In addition, superuser and administrator roles are available to you.
Technical roles
These roles contain authorizations for monitoring alerts or for selection management, for example. In addition to the SAP SNC roles, a role with general authorizations, such as authorizations for Logistics Inventory Management Engine (LIME), is available that you need for working with SAP SNC.
