Use

The secure (simplified) HTML editor allows you to deactivate security-relevant editing functions, for example, inserting HTML text.

Caution

The deactivation of editing functions can affect existing documents. When saving an existing document that contains deactivated elements, for example, tables, the system hides these elements (and displays, for example, only the text in the table cells).

You can use a secure HTML editor for the following applications:

      Tasks

      Meeting records

      Session records

      Groupware (for example, e-mail text)

      Structuring forms with XML forms

      Feedback

      Comments

      Personal notes

      Discussions

      Editing HTML files

      Editing HTML properties for documents

Configuration

You configure the secure HTML editor in the system configuration for Content Management. (Path in the portal: System Administration System Configuration Knowledge Management Content Management Utilities Editing HTML Editing.)

If you activate the HTML editor, you can allow or exclude individual editing functions.

Special Features When Using the Secure Editor with XML Forms

In the case of XML forms, as soon as you activate the secure HTML editor, the default settings defined for XML forms apply automatically. In this case, the editing functions activated in the configuration have no bearing.
