InfoProvider: Stock Exceptions - Overstock

InfoCube: 0FRE_C04 / 0FRE_C24

This InfoCube contains detailed information about individual overstock occurrences, including several key figures that describe the stock situation for a given product/location. The information in this InfoCube is used to create the queries that allow you to analyze situations in which the stock levels were higher than a predefined maximum stock level.

The overstock key performance indicator (KPI) is very valuable to stock planners as it allows them to evaluate the amount of extra stockholdings for a particular product/location.

The maximum stock level can represent a maximum stock that can be present on the shelf or back storage or in a store, or it can represent the maximum amount that could be stored at a distribution center.

Through aggregation, you can obtain an overview of past high stock situations by adding the stock cost (at storage handling cost). Using drill-down, you can analyze the overstock situations for a particular date, product and location.

In the Supply Chain Management part of the F&R Engine, you can define the percentage above the maximum stock that will trigger the system to identify a stock situation as an overstock.

There are two different InfoProviders:

0FRE_C04 retrieves the F&R relevant master data from InfoObject 0MAT_PLANT.

0FRE_C24 (new as of release 7.0.3) is similar to 0FRE_C04, but uses DSO (DataStore Object) 0RT_DS01 instead of 0MAT_PLANT to retrieve the following F&R relevant master data:
- Overstock Storage Cost
- Overstock Cost at Moving Average Cost
- ABC Indicator characteristic
- Replenishment Planner characteristic

The LOCATION/PRODUCT dimension, contained in 0MAT_PLANT, does not exist in 0FRE_C24.
