Procedure documentation Maintaining Solution Data  Locate the document in its SAP Library structure

Use

The SLM allows you to view details about software solutions and business scenarios in a tree structure, the highest object in the tree being a vendor and the lowest a software component.

The SLM allows you to view details about SAP solutions and business scenarios from the SLD server database. However, you are not allowed to change the details about SAP solutions and business scenarios.

The SLM allows you to add new third-party software solutions and business scenarios. You must define a vendor for each software solution. In addition, you can view and edit details about third-party software solutions and business scenarios from the SLD server database. You can also delete software solutions and business scenarios. You can delete an object in the selection tree only if no child objects are assigned to it.

When you want to add third-party software solutions and business scenarios starting from scratch, you have to follow the steps in the procedure below until you have added all business scenario template items you want.

When you want to add business scenario template items to already existing software solution and business scenario data in the SLD server database, you have to navigate the selection tree and select the object preceding the business scenario template item you want to add. If you want to add a business scenario template, for example, browse the selection tree, select a vendor, select a software solution, select a business scenario, and then choose Add Scenario Template.
