Images
You use the image control to display images in GIF, JPEG, or other formats on your forms.
You can store images in repositories that are connected to KM. You can use input help to select an image to be displayed from a KM folder (see Browser Control).
The following scenarios are supported:
● Displaying the same image on all forms.
Example: Company logo or background graphic.
For more information, see Image Selection in XML Forms Builder.
● Displaying a different image for every object. Authors can select an image from a KM folder or upload a new image to the KM folder from their local PC when working in a creation form.
Example: An appropriate photograph for each news item
For more information, see Selecting an Image in a Form.
To improve performance - especially in lists - you can display thumbnails instead of the original images. Thanks to the smaller file size of thumbnails, the browser is able to load the page more quickly through the network.
Use the Thumbnail Width property of the image control to set the required width of thumbnails in pixels. It often makes sense to enter the same value as you entered for the Width property of the image control.
