Object documentationWork Order Parameter

Specifies a particular piece of information in the work order that the supplier is to consider in the production process.

A parameter has a name and a value.

Parameters are only relevant to work orders that are created with a phase structure. The customer assigns a parameter to the header of the phase structure or to an individual phase. In the phase structure, the customer can only use parameters he or she has defined in Customizing for Work Order under Start of the navigation path Parameters Next navigation step Define Parameters End of the navigation path.

In the phase structure, the customer can differentiate between default parameters and additional parameters, as follows:

  • Default parameter

For a default parameter, the customer specifies the parameter name and the parameter value. SAP SNC copies default parameters, including the value, to the work order when creating the work order.

  • Additional parameter

For an additional parameter, the customer only specifies the parameter name, but not the parameter value. When creating a work order, SAP SNC does not copy additional parameters to the work order. The additional parameters are, however, available on the work order Web screen in the parameter value help. If required, the customer and supplier can add additional parameters manually to the work order and specify a value for each parameter.

Note Note

The work order XML message types cannot transmit parameters.

End of the note.
