System Landscapes and Required Components for
Running SAP SNC 
It is possible to use SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) together with SCM Basis outside of an SCM server installation. (Technically, SAP SNC and SCM Basis are add-ons to SAP NetWeaver.) SCM Basis includes all master data and functions that are cross-application-relevant for several SCM applications. The master data includes, for example, locations and products; the functions include SAP Core Interface for master data integration or the Transport Load Builder.
You can also run SAP SNC as part of a full SAP Supply Chain Management (SAP SCM) Server installation. This is the standard deployment option for customers upgrading from SAP Inventory Collaboration Hub, and for customers requiring SAP APO (see also section “Functions Requiring SAP APO”). This is the standard deployment option for the Responsive Replenishment business scenario.
The following functions require SAP APO, that is, they can only run with a full SAP SCM Server installation:
· Demand planning
○ Connection of planning areas
○ Complex shipping units
○ Cannibalization
· Replenishment planning
○ Enhanced safety stock planning using the methods AT, AS, BT, BS
○ Product allocation
○ Deployment
● Global Available-to-Promise (GATP)
Without SAP APO, only ATP with SAP ECC is possible.
● Data extraction of time series into SAP NetWeaver usage type BI, using SAP APO planning areas

The standard business scenarios and processes running on SAP Supply Network Collaboration (SAP SNC) require the following components as a minimal system landscape:
● SAP SNC
● SAP NetWeaver usage type Process Integration (PI)
● SAP ERP
In addition to these application components, you can run the following optional components:
· SAP NetWeaver usage type Business Integration (BI)
· SAP cFolders
· SAP Event Management

You need to acquire an additional license for running SAP Event Management.
Some of the functions in SAP SNC require integration with SAP ERP. Depending on the business scenario or process that you use, you may require SAP ERP 6.0 with or without enhancement packages. For more information about these requirements, see the SAP SNC Master Guide and SAP Note 1072534.
