Defining an Application Configuration File with Defining Requests
Define offline application settings in a configuration file and configure SAP Mobile Platform Server based on those settings.
Procedure
- Create an application configuration initialization (.ini) file that includes the defining requests, and other application-specific information.
- Send the application configuration initialization file to the
SAP Mobile Platform Server Administrator. The Administrator imports the .ini file and configures various offline settings to support the offline application. See Defining Applications and Defining Offline Application Settings in the cockpit Online Help.

Defining Requests
A defining request is a read request that targets the OData endpoint associated with the offline store and retrieves a subset of the endpoint data. Multiple defining requests can be defined for each endpoint.

The offline store exposes information about whether or not entities and relationships are local.
